Chris Barrie returns as the manager from Hell. More irritating than ever, Gordon Brittas hasn’t lost his touch for inadvertently aggravating everyone unfortunate enough to cross his path.
When Gordon returns from the dead, he arrives back at the Leisure Centre a day early. Helen also arrives at the Centre, having escaped from a local clinic, to retrieve an incriminating letter, leading to a potentially explosive situation.
A mysterious and unpleasant smelling object strikes the roof, making Colin believe that aliens are running amok in the Centre. Meanwhile, Helen has accidentally sold the family home and needs somewhere to hide the furniture.
The Ruthenian State Circus is in town and as a result, Gordon appears to be behaving rather strangely - making Helen a very happy woman indeed. Meanwhile, a religious sect have decided that they want Gordon to join them.
Tim joins a meditation course to fight stress, but ends up in panic after Gordon's misguided right of passage policy. Meanwhile, the winner of the 'Face in the Crowd' competition is having difficulty convincing Gordon of his identity.
Gordon arranges for a dolphin to be delivered so people can swim with it for Dolphin Day. Meanwhile, Tim has been put in charge of the staff canteen and Colin is put in charge of the work experience girl.
